Pope Francis has recognized the life of service of a local Catholic priest, Fr. Guy Albert. Fr. Albert was notified this week that the pope has named him an honorary “Chaplain of His Holiness”, a title granted for service to the people and contributions to the life of the church. The honour also comes with the title of Monsignor.

She was the mother of Father Joseph Ogah, pastor of St-Francois-Xavier parish, Cartier, St. Bartholonew parish, Levack, and St-Etienne-Martyr parish, Dowling. The funeral will take place at St. Joseph parish, Orokam, Benue, Nigeria, on Nov 4th, 2021.

We are saddened to announce that Fr. Jean Gobeil SJ died on July 15, 2021, at 91 years of age. He died in his sleep, at la Communauté Jean-de-Brébeuf, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec. He had 70 years of service for la Compagnie de Jésus.
